Love...

**EDITED TO ADD REVISED PICTURE (added envelope in the right corner)...also noticed how the lighting really changed how the picture looked...LOL!

I didn't plan on creating anything today as I am really tired from staying out late last night but I saw this sketch and something just popped into my head. So I went a little out of my comfort zone on this without coloring an image *gasp*!!! I hope your not sick and tired of me using foil paper either because I am lovin' it!!
And can you see all the glitter on the embossed paper?...bling bling!!! I also want to mention that I will probably add a sentiment at a later date on the upper right area because it looks a little empty...I just can't think of anything right now.

Challenges:
Unscripted Sketches - Sketch
Secret Crafter - Hearts

Hopefully I will get enough energy to get a few things done around the house and maybe even create a little more! If not, I'll see ya tomorrow!

I also see I have some new followers...thanks for joining me! :)

Toby (TGF CHA Relay)

I had planned on putting a tag under the ribbon but just haven't figured out the exact sentiment I want to use yet. I do know it will cover up the big crack. My paper cracked when I embossed it...yikes! Little cracks look kind of cool but the big one is not that great so I plan to cover it up!

Digi is a freebie for participating in the TGF CHA Relay!
Also putting this in a few challenges:
Crafty Creations - They are having a blog hop right now and the theme is Celebration!
Simon Says - Baby
Digital-Ink Co. - Baby birthday plus red, yellow, green and blue
Saturday Spotlight - Bright colors or use mostly yellow (I chose bright colors!)
Die Cut Dreams - Bears

Fight Like a Girl!

I picked up this digi freebie from Whimsie Doodles awhile back and now I have the perfect opportunity to use it. Jacqui over at Simply Create is offering up some blog candy. She would like for you to make a card with lots of pink on it and then mail it to her and all the cards will go to CLAN. Now I had no clue what CLAN was so after some research online I found out that it is for cancer support services. So this card I thought would be perfect for someone that has just been diagnosed and they need to take charge and fight to beat the aweful disease.

I have used some Martha Stewart papers and colored the image with Copics. Added some pink glitter to her shoes, belt, flowers on hat and pink ribbon logo on her shirt...check out the close-up picture you can see it better! Then I tied some sheer shimmery ribbon on and voila! A cute pink card ready to be delivered to someone that really needs it!

Challenges:
Fab N' Funky Challenge#8 - Use any digi image or sentiment
A Spoon Full of Sugar - freestyle
Crazy 4 Challenges - Pretty in Pink
Get Sketchy#22 - sketch
The Pink Elephant - polka dots, bow and pink
Practical Scrappers - 2 patterned papers

Mer-Ian and TGF CHA Relay!!

Whew...I made it just in time! I kept this card simple due to time constraints. Thought he turned out pretty cute! HEHE!
I think the embossing is a little hard to see...I even embossed the waves! I keep trying for a good picture but I don't have the proper setup at home...it is pretty dark and it is also VERY dark outside so this was the best I could do with a make-shift light box...really not even a box just a few pieces of white paper! LOL!

If your interested in picking up this digi for free check out the post here.

Challenges:
EBTKS - Sketch (Had to flip it for the smaller portion to be at the bottom where the waves are located)
2 Red Bananas - Create your own background (Used my Cuttlebug for the paper and added a stamp for the sun)

Mom's crafty work!

I have been wanting to post these for awhile now just haven't had a picture to share until now. Each set contains a scarf and hat of which my mom knitted for me. Aren't they gorgeous?? They are so beautiful, soft and warm!!! I basically wear one or the other everyday! The fall colored one matches a red coat I have and the pinkish blue one matches a beige fleece lined jacket I have with flowers on it!!

Just wanted to give a big shout out to my mom for such wonderful work!!! THANKS...Love ya mom!!

Face reveal....warning it is scary!! LOL!

I figured it was about time I show you all what I look like....scary huh? LOL! I entered a photo contest at our local hospital last year and I had two photographs that won and are now being displayed permanently at that location...I was tickled pink that not one but two of my pieces of art were chosen! This is me next to one of them when I finally got to see it mounted, framed and hung up. Super exciting times for me :) Anyways, this is also what I like to do in my spare time and now you know what I look like!

Later!

Birthday present...

I forgot to post this the other day but it was a present for the 90th birthday party I went to over the weekend. I made some old-fashioned avocado tomato bread and after it cooled wrapped it up in some press n' seal then wrapped with orange tissue paper and covered with cello. Made this tag and used my new JustRite stamper to customize it.

Challenges:
JustRite - Get creative with font

Dragon Fireman!

Supplies: Cuttlebug with diamond plate embossing folder, Dustin Pike digi already colored (first time using one of these and I like it!), yellow strip of paper was distressed with CTMH edge distresser and then I sprayed a bit of Truffle Shimmer mist on it to give it kind of a mud splatter look.

This was a pretty simple card but I thought the combo was too adorable. I did not put a sentiment on it yet but I think it would be cute for a young boy's birthday.

90th Birthday!

I thought this young image and the bright and cheery colors would make the birthday gal feel young again! 90 years.... AMAZING!! And she is still in good health! :)
I put ALOT of work and detail into this card...took me about 3 hours from start to finish! But I think it turned out so beautifully!

Supplies: Cuttlebug with dot folder (not sure of exact name?), various eyelets and brads, JustRite stamps, memento ink, Whisper ink, ribbon from stash, Rubber Romance image colored with Copics, Cricut to cut out all shapes except the tag with 90 is from K&Co. I just added the 90 with the JustRite stamper.

OKAY....this is probably a good time to ask. Do you like when I list the supplies like I have been doing the last few posts or should I just stick to describing what I did on my card like I used to do???? Or would you prefer I do both sometimes???
Thanks...I like getting opinions from those that are doing the reading!!

Challenges:
Rubber Romance - Jan. 10th sketch
Crafty Catz - Birthday
Paper Makeup - Birthday
Charisma - Anything new
Simon Says - Shabby Chic .... although I don't really know what this means their blog said it shows wear and tear. So I sanded the background paper and inked up the edges of the sentiment tag. Hope that is correct!

No card just some food!

Once again I am sharing some food I decided to cook up recently. I know if my hubby or parents are reading this they can confirm I am a FOOD ADDICT!! LOL! I LOVE crafting but what I LOVE even more is FOOD!! YUM!!! So please bare with me while I use this same blog to post all kinds of stuff...I just simply do not want to create another blog..and for all I know some of you might be food addicts just like me!! :)

Here we have what I call a Whopper Pie! I bought my DH a HUGE box of Whoppers for x-mas and this recipe was on the box...I don't care for these but he said the pie was delish! Simple to make also...just a graham cracker crust filled with Cool Whip, ice cream and crushed Whoppers!

I saw a Vanilla Slice on my friend Annmaree's blog and it reminded me of these Strawberry Napoleon's I make. Puff pastry filled with vanilla pudding and whipped cream. Then you can add fruit, sauces, whatever! As you can see I doctor mine up pretty heavily! ....oh and I want to give a shout out about Annmaree...she has done some AWESOME cards lately so you might want to pop on over and check them out! You go girl!! :)

These are the most heavenly brownies I have ever tasted! Caramel Black Walnut Brownies....not from a box but from scratch!! YUM YUM YUM!!! Big hit at a football party the other day! :)

And last but definately not least is this Broccoli Cheese soup...this recipe is found here on my friend Dottie's recipe blog. Some neat recipes if you like to cook. Hubby and I agreed it is some of the best Broccoli Cheese soup we have ever tasted!! Thanks Dottie!!! Oh..I should note a change I made was ommitting nutmeg...a spice I do NOT like!!! Then I just added some fresh ground pepper.

I also see I have a few new followers! A big thank you and I hope you continue to follow even after my food ramblings...LOL! Thanks to all of you that take the time to leave me comments...I do appreciate the love! Always puts a BIG SMILE on my face! :)

Are you ready to rock?

* I am posting this before bed because when I wake up the New Year Rockin' Hop at Sassy Studio will have already begun and guess what...? I am part of that hop!!! I am entering this altered container into the contest so be sure to leave me some love!! This was a gift for my mom and the shell paper matches her decor perfectly! Do you know what the altered container is?? Not a gum package....this time it is a Velveeta container!!! This is the PERFECT size for those SWEET tea bags (gotta love fruity flavored tea!!). So easy to make too...just cover the container with paper. Then I colored the Sassy image with Copics and adhered to some scalloped circles I cut out with my Cricut...VOILA!!

Thanks so much for stopping by...I appreciate each and every comment!

This is an altered Crystal Light container. You just never know what you will find to use for crafting! It was so simple to make too. I just covered it with red paper and cut out all my images with my cricut and glued together! Simple yet effective! Then I filled it up with my hubby's favorite...reeses cups! Afterwards it could be re-used for more candy or a bank or anything else you could come up with!

Added some ribbon with the delicate loops on it...found this really cheap at Wal-Mart. Sentiment is from Hot Off The Press (Tiny Words). The hearts I cut out with my new Cuttlebug and the calendar Sizziz dies I won in a candy. Painted on some Angel Wings Shimmerz for that added shimmer!

Before and After....LOL!

I think I'm the last person to take my Christmas tree down....it was so pretty I wanted to leave it up forever! LOL! But unfortunately it started to die :( This year we got a much bigger tree than normal not thinking of how we were going to get it out of the house. When we brought it in they had it roped up so it was small and it fit through the doorways no problem. Well, lets just say it wasn't going out the same way it came in! I came up with the idea of chucking it out the window which hubby thought was a terrible idea but I thought that would be better than the alternative of getting pine needles ALL OVER the entire house!! He ended up admitting it was a pretty good idea. The only cleanup was the pile under the window...not bad! Here are the before and after pictures...pretty funny isn't it? Can you imagine what our neighbors were thinking? LOL!

2010 Surprise Candy Winner!!!

Thank you to those of you that participated in my surprise giveaway!! I also got a few new followers so that is great too!! :)
Unfortunately, the reponse wasn't as great as I had hoped. :( I only had 5 eligible participants. If there is something that I can do to make this better please let me know!! You won't hurt my feelings...I promise!! An example I had already received was moving my followers list...didn't even think about it so that was a great idea!!
Anyways, for those of you waiting for the winner.....

The surprise candy goes to.................VIKKI!!! Congrats! I will e-mail you for your address.

* Hubby is my guinea pig for drawing names! Thanks for being a good sport hun!

More goodies!

A few more winnings I wanted to share with you!

This selection of beautiful rubbah is from Rubber Romance...I won these by joining in the sketch challenges!

I actually won blog candy from Whimsy Stamps but I was too late to claim it (that week was a tough week) but I understood she had to give the prize away to someone else. Denise was kind enough though to ask me to pick one stamp I would like to have and she would send it to me...so sweet! Was I surprised when I found out she sent me not one but TWO stamps!! Did I mention super sweet?!!

I won this stamp set through the ABC Design hop...perfect for Valentine's Day coming up!

This is what I won through the countdown giveaway at Creatively-Green. They gave a prize away each day. They sent a nice assortment of recycled/green goodies!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! I can't say thank you enough for your kind generosity!!!

That is all for tonight...I better get some rest. Stay tuned for who won my surprise candy...I will announce tomorrow!!
