Awhile back ago I asked on my blog where I could buy some Stampin' Up sweet treat cups locally and this sweet lady Dawn was kind enough to ask for my address and mail me a couple out of her own stash! That was so very kind...thanks dear!!! She also sent me this beautiful X-mas card! :)

Thanks again!!

No card just some food!

Once again I am sharing some food I decided to cook up recently. I know if my hubby or parents are reading this they can confirm I am a FOOD ADDICT!! LOL! I LOVE crafting but what I LOVE even more is FOOD!! YUM!!! So please bare with me while I use this same blog to post all kinds of stuff...I just simply do not want to create another blog..and for all I know some of you might be food addicts just like me!! :)

Here we have what I call a Whopper Pie! I bought my DH a HUGE box of Whoppers for x-mas and this recipe was on the box...I don't care for these but he said the pie was delish! Simple to make also...just a graham cracker crust filled with Cool Whip, ice cream and crushed Whoppers!

I saw a Vanilla Slice on my friend Annmaree's blog and it reminded me of these Strawberry Napoleon's I make. Puff pastry filled with vanilla pudding and whipped cream. Then you can add fruit, sauces, whatever! As you can see I doctor mine up pretty heavily! ....oh and I want to give a shout out about Annmaree...she has done some AWESOME cards lately so you might want to pop on over and check them out! You go girl!! :)

These are the most heavenly brownies I have ever tasted! Caramel Black Walnut Brownies....not from a box but from scratch!! YUM YUM YUM!!! Big hit at a football party the other day! :)

And last but definately not least is this Broccoli Cheese soup...this recipe is found here on my friend Dottie's recipe blog. Some neat recipes if you like to cook. Hubby and I agreed it is some of the best Broccoli Cheese soup we have ever tasted!! Thanks Dottie!!! Oh..I should note a change I made was ommitting nutmeg...a spice I do NOT like!!! Then I just added some fresh ground pepper.

I also see I have a few new followers! A big thank you and I hope you continue to follow even after my food ramblings...LOL! Thanks to all of you that take the time to leave me comments...I do appreciate the love! Always puts a BIG SMILE on my face! :)

Are you ready to rock?

* I am posting this before bed because when I wake up the New Year Rockin' Hop at Sassy Studio will have already begun and guess what...? I am part of that hop!!! I am entering this altered container into the contest so be sure to leave me some love!! This was a gift for my mom and the shell paper matches her decor perfectly! Do you know what the altered container is?? Not a gum package....this time it is a Velveeta container!!! This is the PERFECT size for those SWEET tea bags (gotta love fruity flavored tea!!). So easy to make too...just cover the container with paper. Then I colored the Sassy image with Copics and adhered to some scalloped circles I cut out with my Cricut...VOILA!!

Thanks so much for stopping by...I appreciate each and every comment!

Valentine's Day gift

This is an altered Crystal Light container. You just never know what you will find to use for crafting! It was so simple to make too. I just covered it with red paper and cut out all my images with my cricut and glued together! Simple yet effective! Then I filled it up with my hubby's favorite...reeses cups! Afterwards it could be re-used for more candy or a bank or anything else you could come up with!

Challenges:
Polka Doodle - song title
Be My Valentine
Valentine's Day Song
By: Jack Hartmann

Our Creative Corner - 3D challenge to alter something
Squigglefly - Anything but a card
Kaboodle Doodles - Anything but a card
2 Red Bananas - Round with lots of curves (there are several curves here including the container and on my scalloped image, etc.)

With Love!

This is my first Valentine's card I made for the year. The digi image is from TMITA and I colored her with Prisma pencils and copics. Then added some red glitter to the stripes on her outfit. Added some ribbon with the delicate loops on it...found this really cheap at Wal-Mart. Sentiment is from Hot Off The Press (Tiny Words). The hearts I cut out with my new Cuttlebug and the calendar Sizziz dies I won in a candy. Painted on some Angel Wings Shimmerz for that added shimmer!

Voila!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate all my followers and the lovely comments you always leave me! :)

Challenges:
There's Magic in the Air - Use the digi image provided and include stripes.

Before and After....LOL!

I think I'm the last person to take my Christmas tree down....it was so pretty I wanted to leave it up forever! LOL! But unfortunately it started to die :( This year we got a much bigger tree than normal not thinking of how we were going to get it out of the house. When we brought it in they had it roped up so it was small and it fit through the doorways no problem. Well, lets just say it wasn't going out the same way it came in! I came up with the idea of chucking it out the window which hubby thought was a terrible idea but I thought that would be better than the alternative of getting pine needles ALL OVER the entire house!! He ended up admitting it was a pretty good idea. The only cleanup was the pile under the window...not bad! Here are the before and after pictures...pretty funny isn't it? Can you imagine what our neighbors were thinking? LOL!

More goodies!

A few more winnings I wanted to share with you!

This selection of beautiful rubbah is from Rubber Romance...I won these by joining in the sketch challenges!

I actually won blog candy from Whimsy Stamps but I was too late to claim it (that week was a tough week) but I understood she had to give the prize away to someone else. Denise was kind enough though to ask me to pick one stamp I would like to have and she would send it to me...so sweet! Was I surprised when I found out she sent me not one but TWO stamps!! Did I mention super sweet?!!

I won this stamp set through the ABC Design hop...perfect for Valentine's Day coming up!

This is what I won through the countdown giveaway at Creatively-Green. They gave a prize away each day. They sent a nice assortment of recycled/green goodies!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! I can't say thank you enough for your kind generosity!!!

That is all for tonight...I better get some rest. Stay tuned for who won my surprise candy...I will announce tomorrow!!

DCRU Challenge #20 - Color Inspiration!

The challenge this week over at the Die Cuts R Us Design Team Blog is to use the colors in the logo that you see below.

What lovely colors!! I made these notebooks for a few family members that always carry these around in their shirt pockets. I was going to decorate the spiral bound with lots of pretty ribbon but thought that would bug them coming out of their pockets so I just left them plain. I use a few notebooks I found at the dollar store and decorated with my stash paper from one of those big packs at Wal-Mart then added some coordinating Prima Botanical flowers with a metallic brad in the center. The finishing touch was to accent the corners with a flourish stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget you still have a little time to enter my candy giveaway here.
