Uncle Bob's Birthday Card

This card is for my husband's Uncle Bob...my first card to make for him ever! I don't have alot of experience making masculine cards but he is an outdoorsy guy so I thought a pine cone would work perfectly! And when I think of pine cones I always think of snow on them...it just makes them look so beautiful!

I used my new Close To My Heart birthday set I won and cut out the pine cone using my cricut. Then added some glittery white snow to it...which is kind of hard to see and it was still wet when I took the picture! I have a hard time waiting! LOL!
Hope you all like it!

Challenges:
Etsy Inspired #61 - Jared in Kansas (I used the Winter Wonderland photo for inspiration)
Stamping Vacation - Pick 3 Challenge
I picked the following:
1. Use anything from your sewing box ... I use my tiny scissors
2. Use an image of something that is from your yard ... pine cone!
3. Use anything you might find in a garage or workshop
4. Use anything you would find in a junk drawer .... 3 and 4 go together because I used glue!!
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Snow Much Fun (snow on the pine cone)
CPS 141 - Sketch
Allsorts - Bling (sparkly snow on pine cone...about as much bling as I would want to put on a man's card! LOL!)
La-La Land Crafts - Get Punchy (use your punches or die cuts) My pine cone is a die cut.

Card for Noah

Diana Harrison Biorkman has an adorable 5yr old son Noah who is in the last stages of a 2 1/2yr battle with Neuroblastoma Cancer. The family is celebrating Christmas early because they do not think Noah will make it til Christmas. Noahs request is to get lots and LOTS of Christmas cards! If you would like to send a card please send to his dad (this is an alternate address that the family has recently submitted):
Noah Biorkman
C/O Scott Biorkman
3480 Petoskey Way
Milford, MI 48380
They have also asked that instead of sending a gift for Noah that you include a dollar (only if you want of course) donation to be given to the University of Michigan Neuroblamstoma Research or the Michigan Make a Wish Chapter.

Here is the card I made for Noah...I saw on a video that he got an angel ornament and he said it was his favorite because he knew soon he would be in heaven and that he would turn into an angel....how precious this young boy must be! I hope with our help he will know how many people are thinking of him!

This was my first easel card and it was so easy to make. There is a tutorial over at Sassy Studio that tells you how to make one! The digi is from Digital Delights and I colored him with my Copics and Prismas. Also colored the white button with my Copics to make it match and pop a little. I added silverish glitter to the wings (although you can't see it in the picture) and popped the image out with 3-D squares. In case your wondering what that paper is doing on the inside right of the card...I had to cover up some writing that I had already put in the card before taking the picture...oops!

Challenges:
Sophisticat Challenge#10 - Wings
Simon Says - Thinking of You
Flutter By Wednesday - Thankful and use a fairy, angel, or butterfly (I am thankful that this little boy was able to get his wish of lots of cards and to spend his final Christmas with his family feeling very loved.)
The Secret Crafter - easel card
Crazy 4 Challenges - easel card

Ava's Rule Postcard

If you have children please read this story and if you don't have children please send this to anyone you know that does...this could save a life! The postcard isn't very easy to read so I have included the original website here and you can read the story about Ava.

God Bless.

Won a challenge!

What a great day I have had...LOTS of goodies in the mail which I will post later AND I found out I won the color challenge at Digital-Ink Co.

This is the digi I won from Whimsy Design Studio. The penguin is super cute and I am also featured on their store website here until the next challenge. THANKS!

Hi Ya!

Hey everyone! I'm back from my girlie weekend getaway up in Frankenmuth, Michigan with my mom and sister! We had a great time and the weather was gorgeous! Perfect for all our walking around and shopping! Which we did lots of...LOL! Can't forget all the yummy food we had too...lots of German food and I am of German heritage so all I can say is YUMMY!!! I hope to post a few pictures once I get them from my mom...we only took her camera.

Now I have been spending the ENTIRE day hopping around and trying to catch up...whew...I am exhausted! If I didn't leave a comment on your blog I am sorry...only so many hours in a day! Rest assured I will try to catch you next time! I also noticed a few more followers....thank you so much! It really makes my heart leap when others like my work and want to follow me...not because they have to but because they want to...so thanks ladies...you are all so awesome!

I was able to have a little crafty time today and made this card. Had to finish it before the hubby got home...I haven't spent quality time with him in several days.

The paper is scraps from my stash, the Spongebob ribbon was on sale at Wal-Mart for I think $1.50...I just love this cute ribbon! And the sentiment is from Rubber Romance which was kindly given to me by Sammye Jo at 62 cards in an image swap so I could play along with some of the Rubber Romance challenges! Thanks so much...I love everything you sent!

So now for the challenges:
Rubber Romance - sketch
2 Red Bananasrecipe - 3 eyelets, 2 ribbons and an oval
Crafty Catz #7 - "Going Dottie"

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!
