Anzac Biscuits!

Have you ever heard of these?? I hadn't until my Aussie friend over at Merrymade Cards and Crafts e-mailed me the recipe. Had to make some slight adjustments as we don't have the exact same products in the US or atleast not that I can find. On my next trip to Jungle Jim's I will be on the lookout! It is a HUGE store with specialty items from everywhere internationally. So this is my first batch and they came straight from the oven...cooling right now and I plan on having them with some hot tea tonight!
They smell so delicious!! MMMMMMMMMM, I bet you can smell them from here! LOL!
I will let you know later how I liked them.

Whimsy Santa and another glue review....

I'm going to start with the glue review. As you can see I have two different sticks of glue. The top one is UHU and the bottom one is Scrapbooking Memories. In accordance with the new federal guidlines I must state that I received the UHU glue free of charge for honest feedback! So the first thing I noticed was the size of the UHU glue stick...MUCH bigger than any other I have ever seen so that is a plus! Also I noticed that it is tinted purple....a BIG plus so you can see exactly where you are applying the glue! The scrapbooking memories brand is small and isn't colored. So I started my card and noticed that the UHU glue was much easier to use because of these features! They both act about the same as far as adhesive goes...it will curl your paper so you must act quickly! I typically use a glue roller but I think this would be more economical to use on paper. The drawback is you can't use the stick on everything. I tried using the UHU stick on my ribbon but it just wouldn't hold tight enough so I moved on to my trusted glue roller.
Bottom line...if your looking for a cheaper way of adhering just paper items you might want to try the UHU glue stick especially with the added features of being BIGGER and also TINTED purple!! Thanks for reading my review!! :)

Now for my card. I used scrap paper. Colored my new Whimsy image with Copics...highlighted just a little with my white gel pen. I am trying to go lighter on this so it doesn't overpower the image! Also tried a new coloring technique on the shoes...what do you think?? Do they look like light is bouncing off of them? Added some puffy paint. Also added some red ribbon at the top with a bow. Then I cut out the snowflakes with my cricut and dazzled them up with my Martha Stewart Florentine Gold glitter!

Don't forget to check out the rest of my blog!
Thanks for visiting! :)

X-mas Scamp

I have the day off today....YAH! So I am trying to catch up on some stuff and of course have some crafting time! :) This is a digi from the Character Cafe and his name is Scamp....isn't he so cute?!! I can just see a real dog chewing on x-mas lights in someone's house! LOL! Used some scrap paper, colored Scamp with Copics and prisma pencils with OMS. Added puffy paint and my new glossy accents to the light bulbs. Distressed the edges and inked up red. Sentiment came with the digi.

But three fit on one of my papers...the background one which has circles, words (Shhh and Joy although they are mostly covered but you can still see a little, and geometric shapes (also a circle)...the paper is a rectangle so I guess that would count too.

SU sweet treat cups

Does anyone know where I can get these in Indiana?? I was wanting to save on shipping costs. Just wanted a few sets but didn't want to pay a ton for shipping!

Thanks!

Mom's first card!!

I had my mom over the other day to try out the new Wii and we had such a good time. My dad even came over for dinner later and tried it out....hilarious watching them play it...we laughed so hard at each other!! LOL! Anyways, I wanted to enter a challenge so I decided to start crafting and asked my mom to join in the fun. I gave her this Rubber Romance image and my Copics. Turned her loose with my scraps and anything else she wanted to use in my craft room!! I think she was overwhelmed at first because she has never made a card before but once she saw what I was doing she quickly got the hang of it. I believe she is giving this to my dad for Christmas. I think she did an excellent job on her first card...what do you think?? Leave her some love and I will be sure to have her read all your comments!

Thanks!
