Fishing Trip!

Hubby and I decided to take some time out from working and do a little local fishing! So much fun especially when you actually catch something! LOL!

He caught the "Big One" ... a 4.5 pound catfish! We did not keep this one to eat as he said the meat is usually yellow with bigger catfish and not very good.

I was catching these bluegill and we ended up with enough to keep and eat so hubby filleted these and we will get a good meal out of them! :)

Anyone else out there like to go fishing? If so I would love to hear what kind of fish you catch!

Wow...you guys had success.. Well done. We tried fishing last week...such a laugh. We couldn't cast out too well as the top of the boat kept getting in the way. Made us smile for half an hour though.

OMG!! These picture bring back some memories when I use to fish in IL.
How fun that you both caught some fish!!
I don't fish that much anymore but dh and dd does. She only fishes a couple times a year and she has not gone in awhile so in a couple weeks she and dh are going!
They usally catch saltwater trout, and red fish!
Thanks for posting about my giveaway!!
You are so sweet!
Hugs!

i have NO PATIENCE for fishing, but jade sure loves it. she rarely catches anything, but at least she has the patience for it!!! not bad for a 5-1/2 yo.

Great catches!! I grew up fishing almost everyday in the summer when I was a kid, and Mike, Justin and I used to fish quite a bit, but I haven't been in several years...it may be time for me to dust off my fishing pole and take up this hobby again! :)

Awesome fish pics! You guys really did great! I used to love to fish, but just let that drift away like so many other things I used to like to do! HA! Now, if I would catch them, I'd probably cry cause I thought I hurt them! LOL I'm such a dork. Best, Curt
