Beaches...

Well, I was going to catch up yesterday on blogland but my grand plan was foiled by blogger. I couldn't post anything after my Top 3 post nor could I leave comments on anyone elses blog! :( Blogger was NOT playing nice ...... so I'm going to do this post real quick and then I have to head out for the day. I have a few pictures on my new phone from where I was last night so once I figure out how to get them off I will post that also!

Now for the beach pictures above....notice a difference?? Yeah, we did too!!! Let's just say we are glad we only did a one day trip to Daytona Beach because it was pretty crowded and we prefer the nice calm beach where you can actually hear the ocean waves!

Thanks for stopping by...I really appreciate you leaving comments even on non-craft related posts! Makes me smile from ear to ear! :)

Another piece of history...

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument....you can read about it here.
We watched them shoot the cannons and one of the cannons produced a perfect white ring of smoke up in the air...truly amazing but it was too light and up in the sky so I couldn't get my camera to focus fast enough for a picture. The people performing said they have never seen that happen before so we might of gotten a once in a lifetime show!

** If interested I also added a link to yesterdays post in case you want to read about it.

Young Forever!

Hey guys and gals! (hehe, that is actually the name of a salon here)... I have been meaning to share some pictures with you from my trip to St. Augustine, Florida so throughout this week I will show you a few photos...can't show them all or it would take forever!! I get a tad carried away when it comes to taking pictures! :)
This area has many pieces of history and the one I want to share with you today is the Fountain of Youth...I actually drank water from it too so hopefully I will stay young forever! :)

Edited to add a link where you can read about this site .... here.

RAK and purchase

Just a note that I revised yesterdays post and added that the winner needs to contact me by this Friday!!

This is a RAK I won from Michelle at I Luv Scrapping. Lots of fun goodies...THANKS!!

And this little fantastic crafting tool flew all the way back home with me from my trip to Florida! LOL! I have tried for a month to get one of these Martha Stewart Score Boards back home and I even called Michaels BEFORE I drove an hour to the store the weekend before my trip and the lady said they finally got them in and there were plenty of them. So like an idiot I believed her and when I got there guess what??? Yep, all gone!! GRRR!!! So I questioned a lady and she said yeah we sold all three of them. THREE!? What happened to plenty?? Clearly my definition of plenty isn't three! For cryin' out loud this is a hot item!!! LOL!
So I contacted my mom and asked her if we could stop by the local Michaels once we flew into Jacksonville, Florida. And there is where they really had PLENTY of them to pass around (must not be such a hot item in that area?) and I was lucky enough to take along a 50 percent off coupon so I got this little gem for only 10 dollars!! What a bargain!

Now I can't compare this to the scor-pal as this is the first scoring item I have owned but if you want a comparison I found a really cool blog review here.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow with a Doodle Palace sneak peek!!
This image is so adorable you don't want to miss it!

Winner Announced!

Okay...I bet your all wondering what the recycled circles were on my Give A Hoot Candy card huh?? I was really sneaky this time! Recently I have seen things done with toilet paper rolls and toilet tissue so I decided to look a little harder for items not normally used in crafting and lo and behold I found these perfect items...tampax boxes and always wrappers!!! ROFL!! Yep, good ol' feminine products to the rescue! LMAO! And yes it was only the outer packaging so everything was sanitary! All I had to do was run the cardboard/plastic through my cuttlebug with a circle nestie die and voila!! Pretty clever right? You just never know what you will find around the house to use in crafting! :)

Now for the good stuff....the CANDY WINNER!!!
I had 10 people eligible for the candy and once again I had my hubby pick a name out of the lucky camo John Deere hat and that person is.........

Annette Bowes!!! Congrats! Please e-mail me with your mailing address and I will get your surprise candy on the way!

***Added on 3-22-10...if winner does not contact me by March 26th at noon EST I will draw another winner.

Thanks to all of you that played and those that left lovely comments...hope I can do another giveaway soon!

Happy Spring!!

*Free clipart image

Hope everyone is finding warmer temperatures as Spring is finally here!! YAH!
Sorry I still haven't shown a card lately...serious lack of mojo since coming back from vacation...also lots of time at my job, building a house and regular chores. Where does the time go??

I will be back later though with the Give A Hoot Candy Winner!! So stay tuned!!!
I also took a few pictures yesterday of some new crafty items I bought so maybe that will inspire me to create! :)

Give A Hoot Candy!

** This candy is now closed!

This is a freebie image I got from Digi Kitty. Isn't the sentiment so cute? I am a big fan of recycling...I have a big pile in my house to prove it! LOL! Hopefully when we move I will have a better location to store and "hide" all my recycled items because right now it is just piled here and there and it drives me nuts and I'm sure it drives hubby crazy too! Most of the stuff I take to a facility but some items I keep and use for crafts and that is the stuff that piles up here and there. I'm sure some of you have the same problem!! LOL!
I am entering this card into multiple challenges and guess what else....??
I am offering up some blog candy!!!

What is in it you ask??
Good question...I'm not sure I just know I want to give something away and who doesn't like free stuff anyways? LOL! I'm sure you won't be disappointed! :)

What do you have to do?
1. Be a follower (do not follow though unless you really like my blog!!)
2. Please post the card above in your sidebar and link it back to me (you can also leave a regular post if you want but not necessary)
3. Here is the tricky part....in your comment you need to guess what the yellow, green and blue circles are made from! Hint** They are recycled from something in my house!! Only one comment per person please! :)
You have until March 20th which is the first day of Spring!! YAH!
I will post worldwide too!!
Good luck and I will be checking to make sure you followed all the rules...last time I had a few that didn't do everything I asked! I want to be fair to everyone!
Thanks!

By the way, I now have 60 followers! You all rock!!! WAHOO!! Hopefully most of you enter the candy since you already follow me!!!

I am going to also try and figure out if I can get this to stay at the top of my blog while the candy is going on...wish me luck!

Now for the challenges:
PolkaDoodle - Sketch and bird theme
EtsyInpsired - Inspired by the owl here.
KlSNS - Go Green (I promise the circles are recycled!!!) Can't reveal til after my candy!
Digi Kitty - Must use a digi kitty owl
