Another Paper Bead Necklace!

I created these beads out of scrap paper and coated them with some cheap black glitter glue. Then covered with UTEE a few times to make them more durable. This would make a great project for yourself, a friend or family member! Also, you could enter it into the current challenge over at Unstampabelles! A challenge blog where you can show your creativity without using stamps...so fun! There is always a monthly prize too! :)

I am entering this into the following challenge blog:

Sweet Potato Pancakes!

Happy Fat Tuesday!! Some of you might also call it Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day. I have always known it as Fat Tuesday and I used to make shrimp po' boys but now I like to make pancakes on this special day! This year instead of plain pancakes I decided to try a new recipe. And although they didn't taste like the ones I have gotten at restaurants I thought they were pretty good.

ENJOY!

Fancy Fish Sticks!

This does take a little bit of work but the end result is AMAZING! The first time I made these I used halibut (pictured) and the second time I used cod. The halibut stayed together much better when flippping halfway through cooking but they both tasted yummy! Oh and if you have real horseradish (not the prepared blend which is creamy but the actual raw horseradish) to make your own cocktail sauce it tastes even better! Click HERE for the recipe!

Enjoy! :)

Apple Peanut Butter Cookies

The one thing I changed was using chopped apples instead of grated. Has anyone ever tried to grate an apple before?? I tried and failed miserably....it is practically impossible because juice just runs everywhere! What a nightmare....so take my advice and save yourself a big mess! LOL!

Enjoy! :)

Altered Address Book!

Good grief...I sure haven't done a very good job at keeping up with my blog. I sure do appreciate you all hanging around waiting to see what I come up with next! :)

Today I have for you an address book that I altered for my bud Annmaree! It just had a plain black cover so I thought it needed some pretty paper and a nice big sparkly flower!!

Cherry Chocolate Brownies!

This year I had intended to make everyone a mini rum cake for Christmas but time ran out and I only had enough for the immediate family. Not wanting to leave anyone out I happened to come across this recipe on my blogging pal Becky's blog the day before Christmas Eve and decided to whip up two batches and put in pre-made treat boxes from the dollar store....they were a hit!!
So soft and yummy!! You can find the recipe HERE!
The only thing I did different was drop the white chocolate chips into the batter before baking instead of afterwards and smearing like icing.

Enjoy! :)

Re-worked Card

I usually don't redo cards because I could spend AGES tweaking by adding this, taking away that, etc. I would never get anything done! LOL!

But this card was eating away at me and I just had to make a tiny little addition and boy did it make a world of difference!

Here is the original card and you can click HERE for the original post.

............and this is the after!!!

Gotta love embossing!! :)

Now for my DT cards to get you started!

I actually had a dream with the design for creating these cards! I got up one morning and whipped these up in a matter of minutes! That rarely happens so I guess it was just meant to be as I had such a clear vision on how these cards were going to turn out! I used a Martha Stewart Punch to create the window and the snowflakes are Martha Stewart pre-glittered stickers (no mess!) and then I ran the front through my Cuttlebug with a snowflake emossing folder. Finished them off by rounding the corners. I was very pleased how these turned out...wish I could have more crafty dreams to get my mojo flowing! LOL!

Challenges:
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Cold and Frosty
