More new recipes!!
Wanted to share two new recipes I tried out on my family a few nights ago....everyone really liked them. Even my hubby who doesn't care for stuffing liked this recipe!! :)
The above recipe is called "Peach-Glazed Pork Roast with Corn Bread Stuffing" and it is from my Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook.
Ingredients:
Non-stick spray
1 single boneless pork top loin (about 2 - 2.5 pounds)
salt
ground black pepper
1 T. cooking oil
4 C. corn bread stuffing mix
3/4 C. reduced sodium chicken broth
1/2 C. mixed dried fruit bits
1/4 C. chopped onion
1/2 C. peach spreadable fruit
1 t. finely shredded lemon peel (I used dried grated orange peel)
1/4 t. ground cinnamon
1. Lightly coat a 4 quart slow cooker with non-stick spray. Trim fat from meat. If necessary cut meat to fit in slow cooker. Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper. In a large skillet brown meat on all sides in hot oil. Drain off fat and set aside.
2. In a large bowl toss together stuffing mix, broth, dried fruit, and onion. Place stuffing mixture in slow cooker. Add meat. In a small bowl stir together the peach spreadable fruit, lemon or orange peel, and cinnamon. Spread over meat in cooker.
3. Cover and cook on low heat for about 5-6 hours OR on high heat for about 2.5 - 3 hours.
4. Remove meat from cooker and slice. Stir stuffing and serve!
Serves 8
And this yummy dessert is called "Cherry Almond Bars" and I got the recipe from my blogging pal Becky. Click HERE for the recipe!!
The only thing I messed up was I forgot to save some of the batter for the top ... oops!! But it still came out fine! :) I would also lessen the amount of almond extract because it is pretty strong but that is just my personal taste....my husband thought they were the best thing since sliced bread!! LOL! :)
ENJOY!! And if you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me!

Glitterbabe New DT Introductions and Challenge #14
WOOT WOOT!! The time has finally arrived and I am "officially" introduced on the Glitterbabe DT...you can check out all the new members HERE!
The challenge over at Glitterbabe this week is wet or dry embossing and don't forget the sparkly stuff!!! To go directly to the challenge post click HERE!
And for this week we are being sponsored by: Ellaphantastic Cards and Crafts
Helen was kind enough to give the DT members a digi to use on our projects this week! And here is my first Glitterbabe DT card! I heat embossed the outside of the main inverted scallop with gold and dry embossed the smaller red inverted scallops with the Cuttlebug Snow Dots folder. Colored the image with my Copics, added some gold glitter to the snowmans buttons and finished off the ground with some Polar White Flowersoft! Isn't he adorable?? I just love that little birdie on his hat!
I have a quick question for you....how many of you would like to know exactly which Copics I use for my cards?? I have left it out so far because it is an extra step I would have to take for my posts but if you really would like to know which ones I use I would be more than happy to share! I just don't want to do the extra work if nobody cares! LOL! So if I have several of you that say, "yes yes yes...please share!" than your wish is my command! :)
Alrighty, now for the challenges!
Lollipop Crafts Glitter (on snowmans buttons)
Creative Inspirations - Christmas in September
The Creative Cottage - Bling (glitter)
Penny's Challenge - Circles
CPS - Sketch
Sew Many - Christmas theme
Totally Gorjuss - Christmas
Crazy 4 Challenges - Bling (glitter)
Charisma Cardz - Christmas
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Guessing Game Winner!
I really enjoyed reading all the guesses yesterday on my food picture! I couldn't believe I had 18 different people try and guess....I was so pleased to see you wanted to play along! :) I must say it was so much fun I hope to do it again sometime!! The correct answer was PERSIMMON!!! :) A neighbor of my parents has given me about 3 buckets full and I have managed to get about 14 cups of pulp out of it to freeze for recipes later! All squeezed through a mesh bag by hand...yes, it took awhile! :P
So 6 people guessed correctly and I put those names in a hat and as I was mixing them up one flopped out of the hat so just figured that was a good sign that should be my winner and that person is ............................drum roll....................................Lou Lou Shive!!!!
Congrats! Please e-mail me with your mailing address by October 3rd and I will send you a surprise pack of goodies!! Thanks again to everyone for playing my little guessing game!
Hugs!

Homemade With A Hop!!!
** Blog hop is now closed **
Welcome to your 2nd stop of 10 on Stamping Vacation's first blog hop:
Homemade with a HOP!
This blog hop starts September 25th at 9 a.m. and ends September 26th at 9 p.m. (US Central time) We're focusing on different homemade embellishments for paper crafting and we have a long list of incredible prizes available to be won on every single blog!
On this blog we have a stamp set (winner's choice) from Practicing Creativity Designs AND 2 separate $10 gift certificates to RubberStamp Ave. up for grabs!! PLUS, one grand prize winner will receive a gift certificate to the place of their choice for $5-$50 depending on how many blogs they've commented on! There are 10 blogs to hop on so you can win up to a $50.00 gift certificate to the place of YOUR choice! So be sure to comment on every blog AND become a follower of Stamping Vacation ! In case you get lost along the way a full list of prizes and blog hop stops can be found HERE.
** I would love it too if you became a follower of my blog but that is optional....only follow if you want to! And if you become a follower or are already one don't forget to check out my New Store Candy HERE!
Now for my project! Today I am going to show you how to make a rosette!
Supplies: Scoring board/tool, strip of paper 1" x 12", 2 circles...I used my nesties... about 1" (one of these will be for the top so you want to make sure it matches your paper), and glue.
** You could also make a smaller rosette using a 3/4" x 10" strip of paper which I have shown on my card below **
Take your strip of paper and score it every 1/4". I used my Martha Stewart Scorboard which I LOVE!
Then do an accordian fold which is just folding back and forth along the score lines which looks like the photo above.
Next you will want to glue your two ends together to make a loop.
Then tip the loop inward so your design that you want to show is facing on the outside like shown in the picture. Put a big dot of fast drying glue on the bottom circle you want to use and adhere together. I usually hold the rosette together and push down until the glue is dry...or you can use something to weigh it down like scissors. If you don't do this the loop will just pop off the circle and roll back up.
The last thing you will need to do is glue the top circle onto your rosette and voila!! A beautiful embellishment to use on your projects!!
Here are two examples of how you can use rosettes on your cards:
This first card is done by the very talented Courtney Baker!! Which is also one of our sponsors for the blog hop! I just love the textures and colors she has chosen...so pretty!! You can check out the stamp sets she used from her store HERE!
The card below is mine using a digi image given to me from another one of our sponsors and that is Prairie Fairy! As soon as I saw this image I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do! I thought about a sunshine rosette shining down on this beautiful image!!
Your next stop on our hop is Merrymade Cards and Crafts where she will be giving away not 1 but 2 gift certificates ($25 each) to the Sticker Store AND a £ 10 gift voucher for Lili Of The Valley.
Don't forget to comment for a chance to win!! If you don't have a blog, be sure to leave your email address so we can reach you. Winners will be announced on September 28th!
Thanks for hopping by and a special thank you to ALL our sponsors for this entire hop!!

1st DT post for Stamping Vacation!!!
Crissy's Digi for Whimsy Stamps
*Tried to show a close-up so you could see the glitter I added with a Copic Spica marker*
This is my first DT card for Stamping Vacation's Build-A-Sketch challenge HERE!
There is a list of pieces you need to cut out and I just store mine in a chocolate box (chocolates already eaten of course! LOL!) and then for each month you will use a few of these pieces to build your own sketch and create something with it!! The list of pieces and the #'s you use are posted on the Stamping Vacation Blog. I haven't missed one of these challenges yet as I LOVE being able to create my own sketch and the pieces really do help instead of just drawing on paper.
Pop on over and see all the other challenges going on right now and the more challenges you enter this month the better chance you have for winning a $25 gift certificate!
This card also fits the following challenges:
A Crafty Little Place - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - pastel green, pink and cream
The Creative Cottage - Celebrations
Stamp Something - Cute
Oh Alice - Sparkle
Merry's Giveaway - Color something and use a sticker
** This is a great giveaway of stickers and aquamarkers! **

Monkeying Around Birthday!
Digi is from Bugaboo
I am going to my parents house tonight to another birthday celebration....my b-day dinners kind of get scattered out amongst family. This time we will be getting together for 4 peoples b-days. Mine, my hubby, my sister and her hubby. All of our birthdays fall within one month of each other so we just decided it was best to do it all in one night. This is the card I made for my brother-in-law. The icing is puffy paint but not sure you can see that in the picture. Inside it says..."Stop monkeying around and eat your cake!" HEHE!
Challenges:
A Crafty Little Place - Anything Goes
Bee Crafty - Anything with a digi
Cupcake Craft - Digital
Sew Many Challenges - Birthday
Fab N Funky - 3 papers, 2 embellishments (ric rac and button) and 1 image
A Spoonfull of Sugar - Sketch
Stamping Vacation When I Grow Up Challenge - I used a birthday to associate with numbers.
Stamping Vacation No-No Challenge - No brads or eyelets!
Stamping Vacation Name That Card Challenge - Sugar/sweet
Charisma Cardz - Hot, hot, hot!
